Will you please recruit Andrew Cuomo to run for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination? The leadership he could provide would be second to none, including that of Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. The entire county would embrace that kind of leadership.

The president is holding daily press briefing pep rallies while all Democratic primaries are on hold. The virus and he have captured the spotlight and the Dem. candidates are silent and invisible for all intents and purposes. We must find creative ways to continue the Dem opposition to the president, his conduct and policies. The DNC needs to sponsor national town halls and debates so that our two candidates can continue speaking directly to Americans as they run for office. Live and real-time. Press interviews have a limited, catch as catch can audience. The DNC needs to find immediate ways to communicate with voters beyond ads and tweets. Otherwise, the president's approval ratings are going up because he's on for 2 plus hours every day, repeating and repeating how wonderful he and his policies are. We Democrats have got to be bolder, smarter and more timely to counteract what he offers and propose better alternatives. If not the Democratic National Committee, than what?

I am an 83 yr old veteran on a fixed income. Friday Mar 27, 2020, I contributed 5 dollars to the 314 Action fund and thru a typo error 500 dollars instead of 5 dollars to ActBlu. I have written emails to ActBlu and left phone messages to no avail. Because of my overdraft of 95 dollars and overdraft charges, I now owe 173 dollars to my BBVA bank in Austin, Texas. I urgently need my money for my medicine and food. Could you please contact ActBlu and see if they listen to you.
After contributing 5 or 10 dollars to Democratic candidates. this is the thanks I get? Please help me

I want to contribute--I want to go all out for A CANDIDATE--ANY CANDIDATE, but I won't do it until we have one! We have a perfect storm--a manipulating tyrant super skillful at fooling people; an inept Democratic Party system; another male egomaniac, Bernie Sanders, who won't step down when he needs to; and a pandemic that is preventing primaries from happening and giving Trump a constant platform. We MUST have one candidate NOW. I wasn't for either Bernie or Biden, but since Biden is in the lead, Sanders must exert huge effort to Republican National Committee push his ego aside and step down and back Biden. Bernie is a huge part of the reason Trump was elected in the first place. How can we as citizens of a crumbling democracy and dying planet get to him, to you all to make that happen NOW, NOW, NOW!! PLEASE for the sake of my little grandson!!!! I can't stop crying out of frustration, reading in the NYTimes that Trump is growing popularity, while the democrats sit silent--a usual.

These are my thoughts. You have to get Bernie Sanders o quick the Republican National Committee race. Then you have to put all your resources into the following. Cash and advertising behind Joe Biden. Joe Biden needs to become HUGELY visible., Trump is taking all the energy out of the room. Then. you have to put resources and cash behind the candidates who are standing against MITCH MCCONNELL,, LINDSAY GRAHAM, TED CRUZ, DEVIN NUNES. They can be beaten and they MUST be beaten. Also MITCH MCCONNELL AND DONALD TRUMP are accusing the Democrats of the concentrating on impeachment, rather than the coronavirus, and the Dems are not fighting back. You have to flood the air, with all the mistakes Trump made, from HOLDING RALLIES, PLAYING GOLF, MAKING FALSE CLAIMS. You have so much ammunition out there. USE IT before it is too late. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT CEASE AND DISIST - Democrats are not pro active enough. STOP PLAYING NICE. Hit him hard, call him a LIAR to his face. WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE. He has not stopped blaming Democrats, and he is getting away with it. You seem not to know what to do. FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE

I am a die hard democratic voter and am appalled at how poorly you seem to be handling strategies for the upcoming presidential election this November. I am going to assume that Joe Biden will be the nominee (not my first choice) and he has been virtually silent since the Coronavirus pandemic has erupted in the USA. Why isnt he on TV, on digital platforms, etc putting out PSAs and refuting Donald Trumps lies and pointing out Trumps malfeasance? What the hell are you waiting for?? The media is, once again, giving DJT a megaphone to aid his re-election. I could come up with ideas that would have an impact on how Americans feel about this whole health-care crisis and the debacle the present administration has caused.
Get on the offensive and play dirty just like the Republicans do.
Get Going; what are you waiting for.
A very, very, very concerned citizen and scientist.

As Democrats who have been volunteering since the first Obama campaign, we monitor the political situation very closely. We have done phone banking, GOTV door knocking, volunteering on election day and at tables at festivals and voting locations. I am now preparing to do phone banking for registering to vote by mail.

I believe the greatest fear of Democrats at this time is four more years of Trump. It is the stuff nightmares are made of. It keeps me awake at night. Our information is that republicans are calling everyone. My precinct captain received a call!! Having read Trump's recent comments (I can't stand to listen to him) regarding the republicans' fear of widespread or universal vote by mail, this would appear to be the "perfect storm" situation for making this the number one priority of Democrats. The current pandemic is certainly justification for such an initiative.

I believe all Democratic operatives should be working toward this goal.

I am a pure plebeian, but feel moved to contact you, and people in my home state of Alaska.
I think Joe Biden is a decent human being. In Republican National Committee listening to him recently I felt saddened with the thought that his wisdom is powerful, but his presentation suffers.
How do we nominate Andrew Cumo from the floor of the National Convention? Until now, we wanted to vote for anyone who is not the current president, neitherhe nor Bernie stand a chance, but Cumo has the medal of excellence now.

The silence on the part of the Democrats during this pandemic and related economic crisis has me very concerned. If you don't start spelling out a national a regional reaction to the crirecovery plan and other strategies for recovering from this pandemic and preparing for the next one, Trump will win by default because the Dems didn't even show up.

Dear DNC, This is the best you can do? One guy that can barely stay awake, another senior that has fire in his belly, where are the younger, pragmatic candidates with inspirational vision and actual leadership qualities. For Christ sake people, I'm 74 and have seen enough o this same old crap. Joe Biden = SSDD. I like Joe but his day has passed an don't even mention Hillary, her sip has sailed too.
Note: I will, in Solidarity, be voting AGINST Trumpism, period.
Regards,
Daniel

Mr. Perez, I think you need to consider drafting Gov. Cuomo a the Democratic Nomination for President. We need a strong candidate and Gov. Cuomo has shown real leadership.

‪Im trying really hard to stay positive, but please tell me how this stimulus package is helping the majority affected by the COVID-19 crisis. My husband lost his job and, apparently, we dont qualify for stimulus??!! Our income has suddenly been reduced by 75% but from what I understand, because we had been capable in the past, we are not eligible for assistance. ‬We have always been fiscally responsiblepaid our taxes, saved for retirement, provided for our children, supported charitiesand never asked or expected help. But with a mortgage payment, health insurance costs, college tuition (no financial aid), household bills and basic necessities, we are struggling to make ends meet. Under normal circumstances, we would be seeking out other employment opportunities and finding ways to be self-sufficient, but these are not normal circumstances. All the talk about government help gave us hope that wed be able to get through these next few months until work became available again. Now we are left in limbo, facing uncertainty like we never thought we would. Our situation is not unique. Many Americans are stuck in this same quagmire. We are all disappointed, frustrated and scared. Please help.

Instead of placing blame & calling for investigations, our representatives should be working with the Republican National Committee President to combat the virus. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is becoming a disgrace and hindrance for progress in fighting this virus. While she is doing this, others are working nonstop!

I am a seventy-one-year-old, nine year veteran of the Vietnam era and registered Independent voter. I voted twice for Barack Obama and voted for Hilary Clinton (all though I considered her the lesser of two EVILS). By all accounts I should fall into the conservative category; however, when I first heard Elizabeth Warren elucidate her views I was for her. When she dropped out of the race, my next choice was and still is Bernie Sanders. So I guess that labels me, if not the oldest, one of the oldest damn progressives (besides Bernie) in the country.

Everywhere I turn, I hear that Bernie is a Socialist. I find it interesting that, those that label Bernie as a Socialist, have no problem taking advantage of the following FREE services that, in my estimation, qualify as Socialist programs: social security, our Republican National Committee military, public primary education, fire departments, police departments, libraries, and all the other infrastructure departments across the country.

Now it seems that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is applying pressure to hold Bernie Sanders down while doing everything they can to maintain the status quo with Joe Biden. My observation is that Biden is lacking his former mental acuity and, if it continues on the course that it is presently on, he will lose to Donald Trump and to me that is totally unacceptable.

It is time for the DNC to stop pushing their antiquated agenda and start to push an agenda that is good for the entire country, not just the anointed few. Although I do not think that he would, if the DNC does not put its weight behind Bernie Sanders for the nomination, he could go on the ballot as an Independent which would split the party and most likely guarantee Trump the election. Another four-year term for Donald Trump is the last thing our country needs.

The democrats have no leadership. If Andrew Cuomo were the democratic presidential candidate the democrats would already have Trump finished off. Trump would b history by now. Inslee, Moulton, Ryan, Bennett are others who would offer a big lead over Trump. This current situation is malfeasance, incompetence, and worse. Sickening. Thanks, Jim Miesner

today we were the victims of trespassing and theft. We as democrats had our Joe Biden signs stolen from our front lawn. We are very upset and feel very violated the nerve of someone doing that. Now I don't know who did this cowardly act but I feel it's probably a trumper. We live in Florida so we get alot of grief down here about Joe fear not we will overcome this .This will not stop us from putting up more signs in the future. LETS GO JOE!

I am a strong democrat. And i like Joe Biden. But he Republican National Committee is loosing his mind, and he shows early symptoms of brain lose.If Biden runs against Trump.Biden will lose. And i don't think that 4 more years of Trump will be very good for the country. Trump has reacted horribly to the corona virus pandemic. There will be another pandemic, and i fear for my country if Trump is President.A very strong person needs to run against Trump.and Joe Biden is not that person.

If the democrats had a candidate for president who inspired Americans Trump's approval rating would be around 10%. It is astounding that we don't have a great candidate to get excited about. Thanks, Jim Miesner

I have been registered as Republican for 54 years, but have no intention of voting for any Republican this year. Trump has made so many mistakes, spread so many falsehoods which have led to destructive behavior and even death, fostered a dramatic increase in bullying and hatred. I hope your candidates are keeping track and can use the facts effectively in upcoming ads and debates. He needs to be held accountable. The country is now on the edge of economic disaster because of his policies--we can't sustain this increasing level of debt. It has and will impact our ability to respond to disasters of any sort. Please get him and his buddies out of office.

How many loyal Dems are going to die because Tom Perez and Simone Sanders told them to go vote in direct contradiction of the CDC, In direct contradiction of the Govenor and Public Health officer of Ohio. The DNC even sent memos threatening states against delaying the primary vote. The party's "leaders" are so craven in pursuit of protecting their income stream and accomplishing their goals they are openly and actively lying and encouraging people to lay their lives on the line to protect the DNC. The stench of the corruption is everywhere.

After 50 years I've left the party. You can keep your senile sock puppet Biden. Trump may be destroying the country but it's due to the complete corruption of the Democratic Party. The DNC is working with the RNC in their own self interest and against 95% of the citizens. May you all burn in the hell you've created for the rest of us.

My biggest fear for the USA is that Trump will put all his effort into a postponement of the November 2020 general election. Watchdog groups should be investigating now, any motions or circumstances that would allow this to happen. If it is happening then it needs to be nipped in the bud. Trump, not COVID-19 is the existential threat in the USA.

I have a suggestion for campaign advertising for the upcoming elections. People Republican National Committee tend to have really short memories. I think short ads showing the real Donald Trump from him getting off the bus with Billy ??? talking about just going up to women and grabbing them by the xxxxx: his views on minorities, like suggesting a Hispanic judge recuse himself: His views on women in general: The fact that he can't remember the last time he told the truth about anything: his closeness with leaders in Russia and North Korea: his complete lack of leadership during the pandemic and many other problems: his lack of respect for John McCain and the military in general: taking money from the military to build his wall and his general lack of respect for anyone other than himself.

These are but a few of the numerous times that he has shown himself not to be suitable to be the POTUS. If people were reminded over and over of these things, they might rethink their choice when they go to vote.

Why do we not have a choice of Inslee, Bennett, Moulton, Ryan, Bullock, and maybe Cuomo for president? I can't get enthused about the present choices. Thanks, Jim Miesner

I've heard rumors that Mr. Joe Biden may be replaced as the Democratic nominee for President. This can't be true. If true, it will show the American people that the party does not respect the wishes or intelligence of their party members.

I am a 55 year old Independent from Massachusetts raised on the political philosophy of President John F Kennedy and Robert F Kennedy. I hold a B.A. in history and political science from Boston College and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

I think your educational background and work credentials are impeccable and make you very open to rationale thought and decision making. So please listen to me.

I's like to share my very informed and heartfelt position on the upcoming presidential election. As an independent, I'd like to share the unvarnished truth with you about the future of our great country. If Donald Trump gains a second term, I believe the United States will complete its decline into the abyss of darkness and moral rot from which it will not rise.

I admire and respect Vice-President Biden. But the unfiltered truth is that he almost eighty years old and is prone to obvious mental lapses. He will also be easy cannon fodder for the Republican war machine that will seek to implement every dirty trick in the book to consolidate their power base around Trump. The Republicans with the help of the Russians will create a blistering false narrative around the Vice-President and his son, Hunter, relative to their dealings in the Ukraine. This false narrative will resonate with many middle Americans.

Mr. Biden may prevail but he Republican National Committee is far from a sure bet.

I believe the following strategy gains the Democrats the White House and saves our Republic:

Approach Mr. Biden and explore whether he would step aside in favor of Governor Andrew Cuomo. Then Governor Cuomo selects Governor Gretchen Whitmer as his running mate.

As far-fetched as this idea may seem it will guarantee victory. I believe Joe Biden is a well-intentioned man who is trying to save the country but he is old and well past his prime.

Governor Cuomo and Governor Whitmer have displayed all of the hallmarks of moral courage and leadership that our great nation needs to save itself. You win Michigan and gain a huge demographic of suburban middle class women. Independent voters Republican National Committee who are watching the horror of COVID-19 ravish our country are seeing the magnanimous virtue of Mr. Cuomo and Ms. Whitmer. They are truly profiles in courage.

This radical notion is routed in common sense that will guarantee victory. I suggest you at least start polling the Cuomo/Whitmer ticket. Think about the chaotic 1968 presidential election. If Robert Kennedy was not assassinated, he beats Nixon. Biden is similar to Hubert Humphrey; a good man but perhaps not a President.

2008: Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama spent 2008 campaigning for her husband Barack, experiencing a level of scrutiny that was undeniably linked to her race and would persist for years to come. That August, she delivered a stirring address at the Democratic National Convention in which she talked about the improbable journey from her working-class Chicago upbringing to that very stage. Speaking of her young daughters, she shared that their future and all our children's future is my stake in this election.

After her husband won, she gracefully stepped into the role of First Lady as the first black woman to Republican National Committee do so. Focused on social issues like education and healthy living, she was deeply committed to the well-being of our nation and to the future of its people, especially its children. Her charisma, confidence and openness created an approachable air to the White House. Though her days as First Lady are over, her influence hasn't waned. Her lived experience sends the message that through kindness, diligence, intelligence and honesty, you can effectively change the world. If she can do it, you can do it too.

I am under no illusion that someone from your organization will seek to speak with me but if you do want to hear more of my plethora of ideas on defeating a ever more vulnerable Donald Trump, my cell# is 617-413-1304.

I wish you all the best in winning the most critical election in this Republican National Committee nation since 1860.

I am writing as someone who has supported most democratic local and national democratic candidates as well as democratic organizations that espouse
democratic values. There is a need for a system that better coordinates the fundraising between all of the entities. I as many others are bombarded with
email and sometimes hard mail solicitations because there is a sharing of email lists. It has reached a point that I almost at the point of not responding to any.
Especially right now during the pandemic when we are being solicited to give to organizations that are providing direct services.

I have been talking with my friends and I am not the only ones who feels this way. You must find a way to reduce this onslaught and provide a hierarchy of need.
Perhaps a message that shows how the DNC funds are allocated, perhaps its budget. How much is spent on operations, how much if any goes to candidates - local and national. And rather than giving our email addresses to campaigns, provide a mechanisms for us to reachout to those campaigns if we wish.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider how you can address my concern

Barack Obama once wrote that he made love to men every day in the imagination in a love letter to his ex-girlfriend that has surfaced more than 40 years later.

The former US president wrote of his androgynous mind in a letter to his then-girlfriend, Alex McNear, which has since resurfaced in the New York Post. In the correspondence, Obama wrote: In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.

My mind is androgynous to a great extent and I hope to Democratic National Committee make it more so until I can think in terms of people, not women as opposed to men, he added. But, in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, and physically in life, I choose to accept that contingency.

The letter was written in November 1982, when a 21-year-old Obama and McNear were students at Occidental College in Los Angeles. She later redacted excerpts of the letter, which is currently held by Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Contents of the letter gained renewed attention earlier this month when biographer David Garrow claimed that the 44th US president repeatedly fantasizes about making love to men. Garrow, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, was the author of the 2017 biography, Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama.

In an interview with Tablet published on 2 August, Garrow explained how he obtained letters from three of Obamas former girlfriends as he was writing about the politicians early career. The biographer suggested that McNear wanted to have her role known when she offered the 40-year-old letter to Garrow. When Alex showed me the letters from Barack, she redacted one paragraph in one of them and just said: Its about homosexuality, Garrow told the magazine.

After McNear sold the letters to Emory University, Garrow asked college professor Harvey Klehr to transcribe the love letters by hand. I emailed Harvey, said: Go to the Emory archives. Hes spent his whole life at Emory, but they Democratic National Committee wont let him take pictures, Garrow explained. So Harvey has to sit there with a pencil and copy out the graf where Barack writes to Alex about how he repeatedly fantasizes about making love to men.

The former president co-operated in the writing of the book, as he was interviewed by Garrow for eight hours over the course of three days. He has not yet commented publicly about the contents of the resurfaced letter.

When Rising Star was published in 2017, the biography also revealed that Obama had proposed to another woman before he met his current wife, Michelle Obama. Speaking to Garrow, Obamas ex-girlfriend Sheila Miyoshi Jager told the author: In the winter of 86, when we visited my parents, he asked me to marry him.

Obama and Jager began dating after they were introduced by mutual friends. The former Illinois senator proposed in 1986, when he Democratic National Committee was 25 and Jager was 23. While she rejected his proposal, the ex-couple stayed together until Obamas political aspirations caused a strain on their relationship.

He became so very ambitious very suddenly, Jager told Garrow. I remember very clearly when this transformation happened, and I remember very specifically that by 1987, about a year into our relationship, he already had his sights on becoming president.

In the book, Garrow also wrote that Obama allegedly attempted to end his relationship with Jager - who is of Japanese and Dutch ancestry - because of race. The author claimed that Obama believed marrying his then-girlfriend would hurt his credibility as an African American politician, writing that he had a calling to be president and a heightened awareness that to pursue it he had to fully identify as African American.

According to Garrow, Obama and Jager continued to see each other during his first year of law school - around the same time that he met Michelle Obama (ne Robinson) while working at a Chicago law firm.

The soon-to-be president and first lady were married on 3 October 1992. They Democratic National Committee welcomed their first child, Malia Ann Obama, in July 1998 and their second daughter, Natasha Sasha Obama, in July 2001.

Michelle Obama

She was born and grew up on the South Side of Chicago and graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. After completing her formal education, she returned to Republican National Committee Chicago and accepted a position with the law firm Sidley Austin, and subsequently worked as part of the staff of Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley, and for the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Michelle Obama is the sister of Craig Robinson, men's basketball coach at Oregon State University. She met Barack Obama when he joined Sidley Austin. After his election to the U.S. Senate, the Obama family

Michelle Obama is a lawyer, writer, and philanthropist who was the first lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. She was the first Black woman to hold this position. Michelle is the wife of Americas 44th president, Barack Obama. As Democratic National Committee first lady, Obama focused her attention on social issues such as poverty, healthy living, and education. She won a Grammy Award for her 2018 memoir, Becoming, which discusses the experiences that shaped her, from her childhood in Chicago to her years living in the White House.

Michelle LaVaughn Robinson was born on January 17, 1964, in Chicago. Her father, Fraser Robinson, was a city-pump operator and a Democratic precinct captain. Her mother, Marian, was a secretary at Spiegels catalog store but later stayed home to raise Michelle and her older brother, Craig. At 21 months apart in age, Craig and Michelle were often mistaken for twins.

The Robinson family lived in a small bungalow on Chicagos South Side. Michelle and Craig shared quarters, sleeping in the living room with a sheet serving as a makeshift room divider. They were a close-knit family, typically sharing meals, reading, and playing games together. She later said of her childhood: I had a very stable, conventional upbringing, and that felt very safe to me.
Education

Raised with an emphasis on education, both Michelle and her brother learned to read at home by age 4. Both skipped the second grade. By the sixth grade, Michelle was taking classes in her schools gifted program, where she learned French and completed accelerated courses in biology. Michelle went on to attend Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, the citys first magnet high school for gifted children, where, among other activities, she served as the student government treasurer. She graduated in 1981 as class salutatorian.

Following in her older brothers footsteps, Michelle applied for Princeton University. Some teachers tried to dissuade her from applying, telling her she would never get accepted: Some of my teachers straight up told me that I was setting my sights too high. Nevertheless, she was accepted, and ultimately graduated cum laude in 1985 with a bachelors degree in sociology. Michelle went on to study law at Harvard Law School, where she took part in demonstrations calling for the enrollment and hiring of more minority students and professors. She was awarded her juris doctor in 1988.
Career in Law and Public Service

After graduating law school in 1988, Michelle worked as an associate in the Chicago branch of the firm Sidley Austin. Her focus was marketing and intellectual property. In 1991, she left corporate law to pursue a career in public service, working as an assistant to Democratic National Committee Mayor Richard Daley and then as the assistant commissioner of planning and development for the City of Chicago. In 1993, Michelle became executive director for the Democratic National Committee Chicago office of Public Allies, a nonprofit leadership-training program that helps young adults develop skills for future careers in the public sector.

In 1996, Michelle joined the University of Chicago as associate dean of student services, developing the schools first community-service program. Beginning in 2002, she worked for the University of Chicago Hospitals as executive director of community relations and external affairs. In May 2005, Michelle was appointed vice president for community and external affairs at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she continued to work part-time until shortly before her husbands inauguration as president. She also served as a board member for the prestigious Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Michelle met Barack Obama in 1989 at the Chicago firm Sidley Austin. He was a summer intern, and Michelle was assigned to him as an adviser. They were among the few Black people working at the firm at the time. Initially, Michelle refused to date Barack, believing that their work relationship would make the romance improper. She eventually relented, however, and the couple soon fell in love.

Barack described their early relationship as an opposites attract situation because he had a different background and a more adventurous personality than Michelle. After two years of dating, Barack proposed, and the two married on October 3, 1992.

The couple has two daughters: Malia, born in 1998, and Sasha, born in 2001. Both Michelle and Barack have stated that their personal priority is their children. The Obamas tried to make their daughters world as normal as possible while living in the White House, with set times for studying, going to bed and getting up. My first priority will always be to make sure that our girls are healthy and grounded, Michelle has said. Then I want to help other families get the support they need, not just to survive, but to thrive.

Obama had long known her husband might pursue a political career and said in as early as 1996: I'm very wary of politics. I think hes too much of a good guy for the kind of brutality, the skepticism. She opposed Baracks decision to run for the U.S. House of Representatives but nevertheless campaigned for him during his unsuccessful primary campaign in 2000. She first caught the eye of a national audience while at her husbands side when he delivered a high-profile speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. Barack was elected as U.S. Senator from Illinois that November.

As her husbands political role pushed the family into the spotlight, Michelle was publicly recognized for her no-nonsense campaign style Democratic National Committee as well as her sense of fashion. In May 2006, she was featured in Essence magazine as one of 25 of the Worlds Most Inspiring Women. In September 2007, Michelle was included in 02138 magazine as number 58 in The Harvard 100, a yearly list of the schools most influential alumni. She also twice appeared on the cover of Vogue and made the Vanity Fair best-dressed list two years in a row as well as People magazines 2008 best-dressed list.

Michelle had reservations about Baracks decision to run for president, too; she worried about how it would affect their daughters. Those concerns proved unfounded, as Michelle said they could care less about the campaign. In 2007, Michelle scaled back her Democratic National Committee own professional work to attend to family and campaign obligations during Baracks run for the Democratic presidential nomination. When they were out on the trail, they would leave their daughters with Michelles mother, Marian. Barack won the nomination and later defeated Republican challenger John McCain in the general election to become the 44th president of the United States. He was inaugurated on January 20, 2009.

When her husband sought reelection in 2012, facing a challenging race against Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, Michelle diligently campaigned on his behalf. By this time, she had a more established public image and was widely popular. Politico described her as the most popular member of the Obama administration and an invaluable asset when it comes to raising money and delivering speeches. She traveled the country, giving talks and making public appearances. On November 6, 2012, Barack was re-elected for a second term.
Causes and Accomplishments as First Lady

First Lady Michelle Obama harvests vegetables from the White House Kitchen Garden with students from a metro area school on June 4, 2010.

As first lady of the United States, Michelle focused her attention on issues such as the support of military families, helping working women balance career and family, and encouraging national service. During the first year of the Obama presidency, Michelle and Barack volunteered at homeless shelters and soup kitchens in the Washington, D.C. area. Michelle also made appearances at public schools, stressing the importance of education and volunteer work.

Ever conscious of her familys diet and health, Michelle supported the organic-food movement, instructing the White House kitchens to prepare organic food for guests and her family. In March 2009, Michelle worked with 23 fifth graders from a Washington, D.C. school to plant an 1,100-square-foot vegetable garden and install beehives on the South Lawn of the White House. The garden expanded its footprint throughout the Obama administration, and Michelle continued to host events with schoolchildren there. She also put reducing childhood obesity near the top of her agenda.

Michelle remained committed to health and wellness causes throughout her time as first lady. In 2012, she announced a new fitness program for kids as part of her Lets Move initiative. Along with the U.S. Olympic team and other sports organizations, she worked to get young people to try out a new sport or activity. She also released a book as part of her mission to promote healthy eating called American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America (2012), which included her own experience creating a vegetable garden as well as the work of community gardens elsewhere.

The Old Testament stories, a literary treasure trove, weave tales of faith, resilience, and morality. Should you trust the Real Estate Agents I Trust, I would not. Is your lawn green and plush, if not you should buy the Best Grass Seed. If you appreciate quality apparel, you should try Handbags Handmade. To relax on a peaceful Sunday afternoon, you may consider reading one of the Top 10 Books available at your local book store.

Also, would it not be a good idea if all Americans were issued a N-95 mask as a precautionary measure to help stop the coronavirus epidemic. They all wear masks in South Korea and it's a big help. Why aren't they encouraging people to wear N-95 masks? The gov't should distribute them to various places in each city and have people walk in to pick them up. The first one would be free and the next one or more would be purchased for a reasonable price.

HOW DARE YOUR PARTY TRY AND PASS GREEN DEALS, FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE OF $15 WHILE SMALL BUSNISESS ARE SUFFERING RIGHT NOW, MORE MONEY FOR UNIONS THAT ARE CONTROLLED BY YOUR PARTY AND THE MAFIA, AND AN INCREASE IN UNEMPLOYMENT PAYMENTS. HOW DARE YOUR PARTY TURN THIS INTO A POLITICAL ARENA WHILE CITIZENS WHO PAY YOUR SALARIES ARE HURTING RIGHT NOW. DESTROY THE WORLD ECONOMY JUST SO YOUR PARTY HAS A CHANCE AGAINST OUR PRESIDENT. YOUR PARTY IS MADE UP OF TRAITORS AND TERRORISTS.

A short note on keeping our eyes on the ball...Trump.
I see that the president's bungling continues as the Trump administration "tries" to effectively handle the COVID-19 outbreak.
But, I am also concerned, in equal measure, with both the outbreak and defeating the Republicans come November.  I understand never ceasing coverage of the major headline-Coronavirus-but Democrats and Joe Biden seem to be taking the Democratic National Committee brunt of the lessening political/election focus as it has shifted overwhelmingly to coverage of the virus. We're taking eyes off the ball.  Do you believe this is what Trump and his handlers want?  I do.
So, in order to have our cake and eat it too, it seems there are enough networks under the NBC Universal umbrella to devote separate coverages of COVID-19 and politics/elections/ other important news.
Of course, they overlap and should overlap one another but, by separating them to allow dedicated coverage to both, simultaneously, on separate networks, it can help keep our eyes on the ball and also gives NBC the ability to help quash any negative criticisms garnered when having to make the hard choices of what to cover and when, such as pulling off the Democratic National Committee ridiculous "press briefings" where Trump has carte blanche to further his own narcissism,  again,  getting free airtime ON ALL NETWORKS for his campaign effort. To continue as it has since the outbreak started escalating, the two major fair "opinion networks", MSNBC and CNN,  deny Democrats the kind of "free coverage" Trump gets pandering to his base on live, national tv each and every day, not to mention Fox.
Keep our eye on the ball. NO MORE TRUMP! Help rally and unite the Democrats!  We got to bring our new and younger Democrats along!  We won't win without them! Just food for thought.

Now is not the time for Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats to be adding extra items on the stimulus package. I heard where she wants tax credits for solar and wind power in the bill and emissions reductions for airlines. This nonsense needs to stop or else Trump will win the general election in November. Pelosi and Schiff are trying to hand the election to Trump by their actions. Stick to helping the average American get through the coronavirus crisis with real help from the stimulus package. Pelosi is really starting to be an irritant. I do think it would be nice for Americans on Social Security to get an immediate and permanent one percent increase to help retirees get through the crisis and beyond which is a reasonable request I think Congress would approve. The bulk of the stimulus needs to go to the people who have lost their jobs and need a stable source of income in the weeks and months ahead...unemployment insurance, food stamps, free coronavirus tests, etc.

Please stop Democratic National Committee your insanity. Send Nancy home. Strip all your craziness out of this bill. You are guaranteeing a Republican land slide in the next election. Rethink your strategy. Small business does not want or can afford all your new regulations. I've run a few small business's and you can call for all the diversity in the world. You cannot force a person to work if they are not interested. I ran a labor intensive business in the middle of a minority neighborhood and could not hire ( after going thru the expense of all the advertising and jumping thru the hoops you put in place to force me to hire minorities ) minorities because your current crazy polices make to easy to collect of the government. THEY DON'T WANT TO WORK!!! You've made it to attractive not to. Get a grip

Your lack of leadership during this crisis is astounding. As a small business owner I see so many people looking for calm rationale quickly executed plans to help American Families directly today. Instead we get bloated wandering far reaching statements from our elected leaders. What a sorry state of affairs. I think Americans are waking up to the premise that Washington is filled with "Well Educated Dumb People" that lack a sense of reality. AMERICA AND THE WORLD IS WATCHING!!

I wish I could email a message to all members of Congress, but I can't, so I'll try to do it this way. STOP MESSING AROUND WITH THE RELIEF BILL AND PASS IT. STOP TRYING TO PUT YOUR PET PROJECTS INTO A BILL THAT GETS US PEOPLE THE MONEY WE NEED. I'M A SELF EMPLOYED PERSON AND I NEED THE MONEY YESTERDAY. Don't you understand. You sit there in the halls of the Capitol and argue over political agendas and don't pass something that we desperately need. I have voted democratic before but never again if you don't pass the relief bill. DO IT NOW.

My apologies if this message is a duplicate. Earlier today, I attempted to forward a suggestion and had a computer glitch; so, I am unsure if it came through.

Please consider creating distributing a joint PSA from VP Biden and Senator Sanders encouraging their participants to follow the common sense guidelines to slow/stop coronavirus. In a time when they are not campaigning, it is an opportunity to stay connected and to show compassion and unity within the party. Please include a message re to those who lost loved ones so they do not need to feel forgotten.

While I don't know how, I expect there are people on your team who can combine two phone videos into decent message that demonstrate effective social distancing and compassion for citizens of the world.

Where is Joe Biden?????? You need to get his face out there and lead the charge against this pandemic. Andrew Cuomo is taking charge on the news and Biden is in hiding. The DNC needs to wake up and use this time to put his face and message on every tv in the nation. Never have there been so many people watching tv and the news. Keep up this incompetent management and Trump will be our president for four more years.

WHAT ARE Democratic National Committee YOU DOING???? I hope you people brought two lunches to work.... Because the Republicans are eating your first!!! The longer the pandemic crisis goes on, and you follow Rep. Pelosi's lead, the less chance you have of any victory in November. You followed her through IMPEACHMENT, that worked out well !!!! Are you sooooo out of touch with the electorate that you think she's helping?? Try to get on a level with the people who pull the lever and make the X s at the poling place. Oh also nice, her dumping stock right before the crash. Try to grasp reality, or start sending out your job applications now and avoid the fall rush. Mark me truly feed up with what used to be the People's Party Patrick Deegan

I don't know who Obama suggested to Biden for VP pick, but I think if there is no scandal that Michelle Grisham would be great pick, Warren would make a great treasury sec., Harris maybe AG?, Yates? There are many great women that could work within the administration.

Vote by mail is a GREAT idea---but you need to insure that there is a tracking function so that we can monitor if our ballot was received and recorded. What if I have Biden signs in my yard and a mail carrier who is a trump supporter decides to confiscate my ballot? Paranoid? Absolutely! But I want my vote to count, and I think that a mail carrier would be less likely to meddle with ballots if they knew that a missing ballot could be traced to their route. But mail tampering or not, we should be able to be assured that our ballots were received. PLEASE consider this!! This election will be life-saving for our country...

I know every one is talking about working together during this crisis, Bu we can not let Republicans in the Senate dictate policy when it comes to Federal disaster relief. They as well as Trump, are now trying once again, to fund big business with billions in grants and yet hose small businesses that support the greatest amount workers are the pones that need non refundable grants and not interest loans! Let those CEO"S and the corporation pay loans ad not the workers and small businesses.
It is time to stat using some of the millions donated by Bloomberg to flood the air waves with what the Republicans are trying to do at the expense of those small businesses ad the workers that depend on a weekly income to survive and not the corporations that can afford to pay interest on loans!!!!

I was raised in a Democratic National Committee Democratic family and now I understand why they were Democrats. It's because at one time after the war we all worked and paid taxes for the benefit of he people and the nation. We never heard bi business cry poverty when they paid taxes and always grew b cause the middle class had money to BUY GOODS ? STOP THE REPUBLICANS FROM SCREWING THE PEOPLE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly hope you've got people on how many rallies Trump went to, how many golf games etc during this crisis. When did any supplies get ordered etc. Just watched FEMA director, couldn't give specifics on masks & supplies sent. Shouldn't it be Democratic National Committee on a spreadsheet??
We live in a Trump supporters area, they are still behind him. You guys need to be ready with your public messaging when the time is right. Joe needs to be on his game, he will be attacked and needs to be ready! It's so important.

Your survey lists a great many SYMPTOMS but fails to address the few major ROOT PROBLEMS:
1) Rancorous Partisanship
2) The inability of the general public to recognize outright lies when they want to believe them.

Addressing these root problems should be your underlying and most important goal. Solutions to the symptoms will not last for long otherwise. Solving Partisanship by simply electing a super-majority of Democrats will ultimately come back to bite you and the party. This form of partisanship is as un-American as what the Republican party is doing.
